Tradition isn’t just something that’s been around for a long time. It’s something above the ordinary that will go on forever, with a life of its own. That’s a perfect description of Curley’s. From the unforgettable red suspenders of founder “Curley” Dello Stritto to the unvarying quality of the bounteous menu, Curley’s is an Auburn tradition. There’s an atmosphere and a bill of fare to suit your mood anytime at Curley’s. Good friends have been getting together at Curley’s since 1934 to share good times and relax over generous drinks.

Curley’s has a full range of domestic and imported beers and a tavern menu that includes, among other items, juicy burgers, chicken wings, and a world famous pizza. You’ll know it is special right away as the friendliness and warmth are made in Auburn. Perhaps tonight you will want to relax in the comfortable and inviting dining room or enjoy outside dining on the covered deck overlooking the Owasco River. Enjoy traditional Italian dishes such as Chicken Parmigian and Homemade Lasagna.

Choose from specialty pasta dishes all sautéed to order using only the freshest seafood, chicken, and vegetables. Delicious hand cut veal and steak entrees are also available.

Putting the “family” in family business, Curley and Josephine’s three sons, David, Paul, and Don, all worked at the restaurant as young boys whenever they were needed. By the 1970’s the boys were running the business, managing Curley’s through the expansion of the dining room into the space that once occupied the K. Bust Sadderly.

In addition to the dinning room, the “Red Suspender Room” banquet area, fondly named after Curley’s trusty fashion accessory, was opened, creating a popular space for private parties. The happy patrons of Curley’s today are proudly served by the third generation of Dello Stritto’s. David and Marilynn’s son Michael, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, is the executive chef. Their daughter Susan Bouley is the indispensable general manager. As long as people enjoy fine food and drink, in inviting surroundings, there will be a Curley’s in Auburn. It is tradition. Lunches and dinners Monday through Saturday at 9 State Street.
